Here's the Deal: Fitness, Nutrition, & Mindset for People Who Don't Want Life to Suck
How to Build Self Confidence and Empower Yourself
Where does confidence come from?
Spoiler, it’s not from weighing a certain number or lifting a certain weight… it comes from showing up for the promises you make for yourself. Consistently. Even when you don’t feel like it. And it comes from having your own back.
That’s what we’re talking about today.
We also talk about goals! We love big, scary, daring goals. We LOVE them. But sometimes they can be a little intimidating, so we share our thoughts on how to keep them achievable and break them down into bitesize chunks.
We touch on marketing, how easy it is to fake confidence for a drastic fad “transformation,” and more…
“Hitting goals that have nothing to do with my appearance… That has given me a confidence that I wish every fucking person listening can experience. It’s given me the power to say no to the things I don’t want to do, it’s given me the power to say yes to things I do want to do, by allowing myself to take more risks, accept opportunities. It’s something that translates into your entire life.” - Brooke
“It’s important to acknowledge and accept right out the gate that it’s going to take longer than you want it to. And it’s going to take longer than you think it ‘should,’ and that’s ok. The faster you acknowledge that and accept it, the faster I think you can start to be more consistent because you’re not trying to speed things up, or rush the process, or burn yourself out.” - Iris
