In today’s episode we discuss a topic that has morphed in recent years. Church attendance is in decline for a number of reasons in the U.S. among professing Christians.

Reasons

The messiness of the church is off-putting to many. Pastors have given us reasons to lose respect through scandals that include sexual sin. Some leaders have even fallen away from the faith. Others are extra-biblical in their governance.

Answers

So, what are we to do? Is there a reason to physically attend church? Are we commanded to be members of a church? Why are churches so weak? Are churches to be run in a democratic manner? What is the purpose of the local church? We answer these questions and more in this very practical episode of Relentless Truth.

We benefit from fellowship in Christian community, and the local church provides a beautiful setting for the development of this community. The local church isn’t perfect, but a biblically consistent local church can provide a beautiful hub for our worship and growth in Christ.
