I discuss the impact of the economy on our politics in this episode. Our national debt, consumer debt, and corporate debt are impacting our political climate. The risk of a government shutdown is real, layoffs and company closures are beginning, and politicians are divided on the appropriate role of government.

Elections are Won and Lost Based on the Economy

Elections are won and lost based on the economy. We can go back to the Jimmy Carter presidency to see this played out clearly. Reagan proved that the American people vote based on the economy. Economic confidence is beginning to waver, and my hope is that the perspectives in this episode are helpful to you.
