To better understand the weapon is to better understand the history. This month, we walk the Road to 250 with the author of the Leatherneck segment, “This is My Rifle,” Sam Lichtman. Sam helps us look at the weapons of the Spanish-American War era and how the rapid advances of small-arms technology not only changed the way Marines were employed but how Marines viewed the profession of arms.
