This week on the Superlative Podcast, host and aBlogtoWatch Founder Ariel Adams is joined by Jonny Garrett, the Founder of William Wood Watches. To start the show Ariel has Jonny dive into his podcast channel where he offers some of his knowledge and guidance to young entrepreneurs and anyone who is eager to learn. Jonny elaborates on the brand being a Firefighter themed luxury watch brand from London in honor of Jonny’s late grandfather, William Wood. Ariel and Jonny talk about the importance of the FireFighting professionals everywhere, and especially those who helped keep California safe during their recent fires that Ariel experienced first hand. Ariel asks Jonny about building a “fireproof” watch, and where William Wood Watches is at in the progression of that idea. The two talk about events and shows that Jonny and the brand are visiting that seem to be smaller gatherings of watch brands and consumers, but how instrumental they are in the industry right now. Ariel asks about Jonny’s travel requirements and busy lifestyle that he sees commonly affect other entrepreneurs in Jonny’s position, and how Jonny is able to combat the roadblocks that may occur with this lifestyle. As the show comes to an end, Ariel transitions the conversation back to the brand being Firefighter themed and how they are able to implement that theme without going overboard or making crucial design mistakes.
