African Children's Stories
Anansi, the Crows, and the Crocodiles
It's another week of storytelling! We bring you Anansi, the Crows, and the Crocodiles a Ghanaian folktale. This is a tale of a greedy Anansi who tricks his friends the crows into giving him more than his share of figs. The crows discover his tricks and abandon him on an island. He tries to fly, but lands in the river among hungry crocodiles. What happens next? Listen to this podcast to find out. This story is published by the African Storybook Initiative. You can find an openly licensed pdf version of the book here.
