Steve’s Peeves: Microsoft Word Auto-correcting “windows” to “Windows”
Those sick, sick bastards.  Steve was using the Microsoft Word app on the iPad and noticed that the app auto-corrects “windows” to “Windows.”  Steve thought it was his fault until he did it a second time, then a third, cursed Microsoft with the heat of a thousand suns.

8 Things Going Right on Dave’s Site at Sales Leader Gear

* Clean Design: Dave hasn’t mucked up his site with a bunch of hacky customizations that can disrupt.  There are so many toys to play with in WordPress that it’s easy to create a Frankenstein of a site.
* The Theme Fits: Dave’s theme is built specifically for personal branding, which is his niche.  Picking a theme based just on aesthetics ignores the functionality you may need for your niche.
* Good Use of Visuals: Dave appears very conscious of making sure his posts aren’t too text heavy.  A good rule of thumb is to include an image every 350 words and Dave is doing that.

* Loads Quickly: Although not blazing fast, Dave’s site loads pretty quickly, an important search ranking factor.
* Minimal Plug-Ins: One of the reasons Dave’s site loads pretty quickly is that he’s not running a buttload of plugins
* Nice Lead Magnet: Dave has an professionally-created eBook offer to incentivize visitors to join his mailing list.
* Appropriate Content Volume: Dave isn’t publishing as frequently as he’d like, but by posting once every two weeks or so, he’s pumping out content consistently.
* Number of Comments: Dave was naughty in keeping up with moderating his comments but considering he has a fairly low-traffic blog, the level of engagement was good!
