In the Western world, we are divided by different morals, laws and philosophies. One such divide is our opinions on foreign immigrants. In the UK there are political parties who exist solely to keep Britain free of immigrants, for example British National Party (BNP). This is an arguably extremist example, but on the other hand there are laws in place in Britain where if a person is smuggled into the country illegally and has children here, they will be allowed to stay, given benefits and possibly even council housing. On the other side of the pond there are TV shows dedicated to the control of the southern border from Mexican immigrants crossing, and yet America is known as the land of the immigrants! So many Americans are descended from travellers from all over Europe, Africa and Asia and are proud of their heritage, yet a large number of Americans are against the idea of any foreign immigrants travelling and living in the country.
