This week on Yellow Click Road Simon and Craig are joined by Matthew Fletcher from Grant Guru. Grant Guru is an innovative business that provides free information on all available government grants in one easy to navigate location.

There are more than 700 Australian government grants available at any time, totalling over $50 billion dollars. Grant programs are run by different departments of government, and without a service like Grant Guru it would be almost impossible to find the range of grants you may be eligible to apply for.

Grant Guru operates on a freemium model – most of the services such as searching the grant database, registering for email updates of new grants that may be of interest to you, and planning and tracking applications are free. Revenue is created through services such referring clients to grant writers and consulting.

Although the team at Grant Guru have offices they work in a modern manner. They’re connected through their tablets which they can dock in the office, they store documents in the cloud, and Matthew himself tries to stay paper-free, taking notes in Microsoft OneNote. Matthews office is essentially his tablet and his phone!
