2 Nephi 32:3
Angles speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
I just purchased a new set of Scriptures, don't laugh, but they are large print. For some reason adjusting to a new set of Scriptures takes awhile. They no longer open right up to the particular reference you were looking for, granted, the pages are not falling out either. For years I carried the set gifted to me by my grandparents when I was baptized, a triple combination with a bible. That set did not see much use for the first seven years I had them; kept in near new condition inside their case. Well, I did take them off of the shelf for church each week, so they saw some use.
Once I learned how to open them, the next seven years where not kind to them, between sticky notes, bookmarks, markings, bike rides, rainstorms, snowstorms, and many lessons they were falling apart. I have used them sparingly over the last thirteen years, mainly because 2 Nephi keeps falling out. Years ago my wife gave me a quad set to replace them which I used, but I missed having the bible separated for studying. So I am breaking in a new triple with a bible.
Scriptures are not meant to be in 'near new condition', tucked safely inside a carrying case. I know my new set offers me nothing if they just sit up on a shelf. All the years of reading, studying, marking, and learning done in my baptismal set does not carryover. Taking the counsel to search and ponder to heart needs to be a daily event.
I love the imagery of today's scripture saying, "feast upon the words of Christ." President Ezra Taft Benson said "...immerse yourselves in the scriptures. Search them diligently. Feast upon the words of Christ. Learn the doctrine. Master the principles that are found therein."
For me, I get so much more out of the scriptures if I take them off the shelf, immerse myself into them, and diligently seek out the principles and doctrine they contain. I truly enjoy it more when I feast, and not only snack "upon the words of Christ."
Scripture Power (chorus)

Scripture power keeps me safe from sin.

Scripture power is the power to win.

Scripture power! Every day I need

The power that I get each time I read.
