Dollar Tree Shoppers Revolt Over $7 Items

On March 13, Dollar Tree CEO Rick Dreiling told investors during a conference call, “This year, across 3,000 stores, we expect to expand our multi-price assortment by over 300 items at price points ranging from $1.50 to $7.”
Discount retailer Dollar Tree has sparked a revolt among some of its customers after increasing the price cap of items to $7 across thousands of stores nationwide.
“If it were really going to go up like $7 … that’d be too much. I’d rather just get everything at Walmart,” Scott Kolack, a Dollar Tree regular, told WPTV-TV (West Palm Beach).
“Over time, you will also see us fully integrate multi-price merchandise more into our stores so our shoppers will find $5 bags of dog food next to our traditional $1.25 pet treats and toys, and our $3 bags of candy will be found in the candy aisle,” Dreiling said.

DOJ Refuses to Hand Over Audio Recordings of Biden’s Special Counsel Interview After Transcript Proves Biden Lied

The Justice Department is refusing to hand over audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.
“The Committees have responded with escalation and threats of criminal contempt,” the DOJ wrote in a letter to House GOP Chairmen James Comer and Jim Jordan. “We urge the Committees to avoid conflict rather than seek it.”
House Oversight Chairman James Comer on Monday released a statement after the DOJ rebuffed his committee’s request for the audio recordings.
“The Biden Administration does not get to determine what Congress needs and does not need for its oversight of the executive branch,” Comer said. “The American people deserve to hear the actual audio of President Biden’s answers to Special Counsel Hur.”
Comer said it is “curious” that the Biden Regime is refusing to release audio of Biden’s interview with Hur after releasing the transcript.
What we do know is that Joe Biden lied about Robert Hur raising the issue about his dead son Beau.
The Justice Department previously defended not bringing charges against Biden because he’s a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
According to the transcript, Joe Biden forgot when he was Vice President and couldn’t remember when his son Beau died.

El Salvador to Offer 5,000 Free Passports to ‘Highly Skilled Immigrants’

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele announced Saturday that his administration will offer 5,000 free passports to “highly skilled” foreign scientists, engineers, doctors, artists, and philosophers who decide to settle in the Central American nation.
Bukele explained that the prospective 5,000 recipients of the passports will represent “less than 0.1 percent” of El Salvador’s population, so “granting them full citizen status, including voting rights” will pose no issue for the country.
“Despite the small number, their contributions will have a huge impact on our society and the future of our country,” Bukele said.

Federal judge who criticized Trump on CNN faces ethics complaint

D.C. federal Judge Reggie Walton is facing an ethics complaint after he publicly voiced approval of New York Judge Juan Merchan’s decision to issue a gag order on former President Donald Trump, who is set to go to trial in Manhattan this month on hush money charges.

“Judge Walton must have known his interview was highly prejudicial to President Trump,” the Article III Project, a conservative legal watchdog group, wrote in a complaint filed Tuesday with D.C. Court of Appeals Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan.
Since airing last week, Walton’s CNN interview has garnered millions of views, and with Trump set to go on trial in Manhattan, Washington, D.C., Georgia and Florida, the group argued that the interview may have polluted every potential jury pool for all trials.
Walton, an appointee of George W. Bush who has been threatened alongside his family, said during his interview last week: “I think it is an attack, on the rule of law, when judges are threatened, and particularly when their family is threatened. And it’s something that’s wrong, and should not happen.”
Because of Trump’s position, when he makes statements, it can cause others to react, even if that was not Trump’s intention, Walton said.
“We have had judges, who’ve lost their lives, or family members have lost their lives, as a result of individuals, who have been litigants in their courtroom,” he also said.
His comments come after Trump posted on Truth Social that Merchan’s daughter is a “rabid Trump hater.” At the time, the gag order only prevented Trump from publicly discussing jurors, court staffers and attorneys, but not Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, nor Merchan himself.

Media Tacitly Admit Mail-In Balloting Is Not As Secure And Reliable As They Claim

Since the chaotic 2020 election and coincident expansion of mail-in balloting, America’s corrupt media have gone full throttle to convince the country that this unsupervised system is 1,000 percent safe and never produces fraud. The same consensus also accuses Americans concerned about the risks associated with mass mail-in voting of being conspiracy theorists and so-called “election deniers.”
Within the past week, however, several legacy publications have released stories tacitly admitting that the process is not as secure or reliable as they regularly claim.
On Saturday, NBC News — published an article raising alarm bells about the effect postal delivery delays could have on mail-in voting during the 2024 election. The outlet cited recent remarks from Rep. Sylvia Garcia, D-Texas, who expressed concern that the ongoing problem could have repercussions for the country’s fall elections.
CBS News ran an investigative piece detailing the growing problem of mail theft, titled: “Amid surging mail theft, post offices failing to secure universal keys.” According to the outlet, mail theft has “skyrocketed” in recent years, “from fewer than 60,000 complaints in 2018 to more than 250,000 in 2023.”
CBS further discovered that the U.S. Postal Service has failed to take necessary steps to “secure millions of universal ‘arrow keys’ that open bulk mailboxes in apartment buildings and neighborhoods coast to coast.”
“A CBS News review of thousands of pages of audits, court records and agency documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show postal workers and supervisors not tracking the keys, not locking them up and not reporting them missing,” the report reads.
