A police officer went undercover – and posed as a jail inmate to get details from a murder suspect. But the suspect previously asked for a lawyer – and said she didn’t want to answer any questions.

The inmate, Vanesa Zavala - suspected in the murder of Kim Pham - allegedly took the bait and reportedly talked to the undercover officer - Santa Ana Police homicide detective Patricia Navarro.
