Who's Who in St. Lou Show

32 - Julian Barnes of College Crap & Breaking the Get Fit Myth - Pt 1

July 07, 2016

In a first for the Who's Who in St. Lou Show, I have to release an episode as two episodes. My guest Julian Barnes and I had such a great & long discussion that I could not see cutting anything from it, so here we are with Part 1 of 2. On this particular episode, Julian and I discuss what led him to St. Louis and going to school at Lindenwood University while playing Lacrosse. If you are like me and do not really know a whole lot about the sport of Lacrosse, Julian shares a bit about the background of the sport and a very memorable moment playing the game. We then dive in to talking about his first website and entrepreneurial venture called College Crap that has one heck of an interesting story full of ups and downs that Julian goes into great detail about. College Crap is currently going through a full makeover and rebranding as Julian and his team prepares to relaunch the service. If you, or someone you know, is currently running a startup company or is looking to start a company, Julian has a lot of great advice to share on things to look for during the early stages of a company. Julian also has another website focused on helping others get the most out their workout and diet efforts at BreakingTheGetFitMyth.com which Julian and I talk about on Pt. 2 of this discussion on WhoSTL.com/33.   To connect with Julian Barnes, you can do so the following ways: Twitter - @JulesMcVern Instagram - @JulesMcVern Facebook - Facebook.com/julian.barnes.5       Guest Faves of St. Louis Favorite St. Louis attraction - Forest Park and Busch Stadium for a Cardinals baseball game Favorite restaurant - Soulard Gyro & Deli One thing you love most about living in the St. Louis area - The people If you could be mayor for a day, would you change in St. Louis? - Make the tax revenue go where it is needed most and not wasted     Listener survey form Please visit the WhoSTL.com/survey page to fill out this brief survey to help shape the future of this show.
