Who's Who in St. Lou Show

22 - Maxine Clark of Build-A-Bear and Clark Fox Family Foundation

April 27, 2016

Maxine Clark joins the Who's Who in St. Lou Show to talk about a
number of interesting topics.
We talk about what led her to St. Louis years ago, what was it
about the area the kept her here when she could have moved anywhere
because of her job in retail. Then of course we discus how the
wonderful Build-A-Bear Workshop came to be along with how the
Build-A-Bear name was chosen.
Maxine also goes on to talk about how the company was able to
continue growing without being hit nearly as hard during the 2008
recession as many other companies were.
Then there is also the wonderful Clark Fox Family
Foundation that she started with her husband over 10 years ago
that takes up most of her time these days when she is not working
with other local entrepreneurs to help them on their paths to be
successful.
Also, if you are the parent of young children, make sure to
visit Blueprint4SummerSTL to get them involved in summer
camps in the St. Louis area.
Maxine Clark shares quite a few great pieces of advice for
people looking to create their own business, or see a business idea
and figure out how to take it to a whole other level. Make sure to
connect with her after this episode if you have a question you feel
she may be able to help you out with.
