Vixate was born from a love of all music, but especially drum and bass. Originally from Suffolk, United Kingdom, she has made snowy Whistler her forever dream home. She got into DJing after curiosity got the better of her and thought that using DJ controllers and eventually, turntables, can't be that much more tricky than trying to DJ at house parties using nothing but a laptop and two tabs open on YouTube… well turns out there is a bit more to it, but she is loving music more than ever.
The second instalment in the Whistler Junglists Mix Series showcases her growing skills as a young DJ. Beyond music, Vixate is also an established Graphic Designer and works for the local newspaper in Whistler, The Pique News Magazine. She also loves drinking a myriad of different teas, 2+ hour bubble baths, chocolate and sleeping-in, oh and snowboarding of course!
