WYRHF Episode 025 - Q&A for Comeback: How An Overweight Doctor Restored her Health And You Can Too With Dr. Kyrin Dunston

June 24, 2016

Check out the answers to these important questions I received following my interview with Dr. Kyrin Dunston where we discussed Comeback: How An Overweight Doctor Restored Her Health And You Can Too. Dr. Kyrin shares how an accident pulled her out of her insanely busy life -- how can you change your life and slow down without dropping the ball and making sure you take care of your commitments? Dr. Kyrin talks about the a-ha moments... How do I recognize when I'm having an a-ha moment? What should I listen to, and what should I ignore? What if I don’t trust the “universe” to tell me “the way”? I feel like if I don’t direct and control my life, the things I want won’t happen.   Dr. Kyrin said that for many women, fat is a form of protection. I really want to explore this because I’ve recently gained ten pounds and I can’t seem to lose it despite all my efforts. How can I figure out what my body is trying to protect me from so I can get down to the root of the issue? I love Dr. Kyrin’s advice about acting and feeling as if I’m already at my goal so that I’m motivated by positive thoughts rather than held back by negativity. But with something like losing weight, I feel like it’s hard to pretend I’m already thinner when I can visibly see that I’m not and physically can’t fit into my pants. Any tips to overcome that?
