Peripheral Artery (or Arterial) Disease (also referred to as PAD) is all too common and can lead to serious complications related to impaired vascular function. If you have diabetes, you have a higher risk of PAD. Excess glucose and high blood pressure result in 2 out of 3 people with diabetes dying of heart attack or stroke.  We discuss treatment options and preventive measures available at Midwest Regional Medical Center.Â
