What is the “silent killer�  When you talk about diabetes the “silent killer†could be any number of different complications associated with the disease.  This week on the Voice of Diabetes we will be talking about fatty liver disease.  What’s that?!  Niyaz Gosmanov, M.D., Assistant Professor, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Director, Diabetes Center, VA Medical Center, Oklahoma City, will discuss the development, treatment, prevention and resources to manage non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.   There is an often overlooked relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance which will be our topic on the Voice of Diabetes.
