On today’s podcast, I am bringing on a really great friend of mine Carlos “Los” Garcia who is my relationship advice guru.  Social Media has become a norm in society and it has effected relationships.  I’ve heard all kinds of stories from friends and the importance of being “Facebook” official.  Also, it has taken away from the quality time that people used to spend face to face.
Los talks about how social media might cause friction in relationships especially those where one person in the relationship is keeping tabs on how many times their significant other is liking their photos, or putting way too much information on social media outlets.
What happened to quality time?  We spend so much time behind a phone we forgot what it was like to really look at someone and just have a conversation.  Enjoy the moment and the person you are wanting to give your heart to.
Social media is not completely bad, it’s a great way to keep in touch with those you cannot see all of the time but everything is good in moderation.  It should not be an outlet to get attention from other people.  You want to maintain peace within the relationship.  If you’re not completely satisfied with what you’re significant other is providing and you are ignoring them by staying on social media, maybe it might be time to look further into your relationship.
Enjoy the moment, live in it.  Life is short so enjoy the person you’re with.  If you’re single, then keep on posting but remember when you get that person in your life that is special to you, put them first.  Your Facebook status should not be your best friend, your partner should be.
