Michael Pineda in involved in Tar Gate #2, this time it costs him an ejection and a likely suspension, according to the rule book.  It was so egregious this time that the Red Sox had no other option but to call out Pineda’s stupidity and arrogance.  Even the New York General Manager Brian Cashman agreed that the Red Sox had no choice by to call him out, that’s how bad it was.  Moron alert.

The Blues and Hawks game goes into overtime…again.  Game 4 marked the 3rd time this series that a game went to OT to be decided.  The only game that didn’t go extra time was Game 3, that was a 1-goal game until Chicago netted a goal late with the goalie pulled.  The Blues were in control of the game the entire 3rd period, having scored 2 goals in the final 2 minutes of the 2nd period.  The blown lead is no fault of the players, especially goalie Ryan Miller.  A coaching decision and lack of execution lead to the demise of St. Louis.

The Birds offense is cold.  Really cold.  Several of the regulars are hitting below the Mendoza Line, some well below it.  The pitching has been spectacular to this point.  The offense will come around soon, and it bodes well for St Louis that they have been able to stay above .500 this long with an anemic offense.  Take a look at the statistical rankings offensively and defensively.  They are quite different.

The NFL releases its schedule to the delight of fanboys and fangirls everywhere.  It is made to be a big event because everyone believes that the NFL is the greatest and that everything they do is the greatest.  The schedule release is cool, but everyone already knew the opponents for their favorite team, this was just an official announcement of the order of those opponents.   Brandt and Doug make some LOOSE predictions for the upcoming 2014 NFL season for the Rams.  Doug thinks that the Broncos are unbeatable and the best team in team sports history.
