Water Safety

July 09, 2023

In this summer re-play (previously aired June 2019) we revisit our past discussion on the importance of water safety and drowning prevention. Drowning is a leading cause of death in children. We review evidence- based water safety strategies including the importance of pool fences, life jackets, constant adult supervision and lifeguards. We also discuss swim lessons and what is the best age to start them.
