“Ruthless” Rob Lisita is on a singular mission: to win the One Championship Featherweight Title. The road to this mission begins on May 22nd at the aptly named One: “Warrior’s Quest” event in Singapore. And it is a path rife with risk, challenge and opportunity.

 

Rob will be facing one of his stiffest challenges yet in Timofey Nastyukhin, a Russian fighter on a 8 fight win streak with all victories coming within the first round via stoppage. No stranger to first round finishes, Rob Lisita has 6 of his own, leading most industry analysts to believe that this will be the most explosive and exciting bout on a card that is packed with electrifying matchups.

 

 

After an incredible ONE debut that resulted in him earning a 28 second KO victory over Yusuke Kawanago, Rob suffered a pair of setbacks in his next two fights. However, with the evolving landscape of the division, Rob Lisita is in a position to get right back on track with a win on Friday.

 

Acutely aware of the situation and the opportunity ahead of him, Lisita has buckled down with his teammates at Phuket Top Team to shore up any holes in his game and fine tune the impressive array of offensive tools that have secured him 4 knockouts and 7 submissions among his 14 wins.

 

Among this list of impressive teammates, which include UFC standouts Ian Entwistle, Thiago Tavares and Vaughan Lee, is longtime friend and training partner Josh “Major” Payne.

 

 

Hailing from New South Wales, Australia, both Rob Lisita and Josh Payne began their MMA careers in their home country. However, amidst the limitations and politics, they were compelled to test their mettle against international competition which resulted in them training in Phuket, Thailand, a hot bed of high-level MMA training facilities and partners.

 

In recent years, Rob Lisita has remained consistently active and earned his headlining status at ONE Championship events through his unique combination of devastating victories, do or die fighting style, charisma and bravado.

 

 

On the flip side, Josh recently returned from a 3 year hiatus to claim a victory in the first round of the “Brace for War” featherweight tournament and will be returning to action in the late summer for the semi-finals.
