Full Metal Dojo’s Jon Nutt: The Omnipresent Goon

April 27, 2015

EP033  - We talk all sorts of nonsense with the busiest man in Thailand’s burgeoning MMA scene, Full Meta Dojo founder Jon Nutt!
Jon is the ultimate jack of all trades, and he’s pretty damn good at a lot of them. Since leaving the rat race of Los Angeles after a series of back and forth trips to Thailand between 2004-06, Jon has been a staple of virtually every facet of MMA taking place in the country and the surrounding area.
Having practiced a variety of combat sports himself and competed as a fighter, Jon has become one of the rare expats that has truly integrated Thai culture. He speaks the language, loves the pop music and has basically spent the last decade evangelizing and promoting mixed martial arts in a country anchored in traditional muay thai.
With his Full Metal Dojo MMA promotion on the cusp of its 5th event on May 9th, Jon has successfully advanced to the next phase of his diabolical vision: conquering Bangkok. Take over the capital, take over the world.

While he likes to brand his shows literally as kickass parties, don’t get it twisted: FMD is here to showcase the best local rising talent and become the leading platform for catapulting South East Asian MMA fighters into the major leagues.
Forever walking the talk, Jon is even stepping back into the cage on May 9th for a bearded slobberknocker versus Dana Blouin in what promises to be blissfully messy way to end an evening of carnage and debauchery.
If it was up to Jon Nutt, he wouldn’t be hustling for Full Metal Dojo. He’d be the villain in Enter the Dragon with the claw on his arm. In an opium den-slash-brothel in Bangkok. With midgets wearing speedos feeding him grapes. But I digress, that’s what the podcast is for. So tune in, this dude is a piece of work! And if you’re in Thailand on May 9th make sure you hit up FMD 5.
Oh and don’t blink: our next podcast will feature Jon’s opponent Dana Blouin as part of this weeks FMD 5 double-header!
