It is with the greatest sadness that I come to you today with the heartbreaking news that another good friend of ours has passed away – David Carter – a giant of a man (literally), who was the center for our formerly beloved Houston Oilers back in the Luv Ya Blue days. David was the man who replaced Carl Mauck as the Oilers’ offensive line leader under Coach Bum Phillips. I was blessed to meet and befriend David through the Fort Bend County Czech Fest’s Kolache Bake Off.
