In a particularly dense episode, my best buddy Joey Dussault and I attempt to parse through the haunting and enthralling TWIN PEAKS. David Lynch & Mark Frost teamed up to create a show that at times is equal parts melodramatic soap opera, crime procedural, and surrealist horror. A seemingly endless network of converging plot lines are established from the get-go, but we also try to zoom out and focus on larger issues of tone, the importance of certain camera work, and elements of the Freudian "Uncanny."
