I'm a sucker for spicy food, so when I read the description for M&K's Tea Company's African Bird Pepper Tea, I knew I had to try it. According to them, this is a mix of Chinese black tea (keemun congou), cayenne pepper, and bird's eye chili pepper. Bring it on!

To me, it's not that spicy. But you probably shouldn't take my review for it because everyone's got a different tolerance for heat. I will say that the mix of cayenne and bird's eye chili counteracts any maltiness from the keemun congou and makes for a pretty nice breakfast-style cup of tea. And if you want to punch up the flavor, you can always add more cayenne to the mix. I like it!
