Raider News:
Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who struggled last season after arriving as a free agent, announced his retirement on Twitter Thursday.
Defensive end LaMarr Woodley, who was ineffective in six games before being lost for the season to a torn triceps, was released Thursday by the Raiders.
The Raiders are serious enough about impending free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh that they’re “planning” to host a visit with him next week.
The Raiders released safety Tyvon Branch on Tuesday, making official what the safety had announced last week on Twitter.
