Raider News:
Oakland Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack has been named ESPN’s “NFL Live” 2014 Defensive Rookie of the Year, the network announced Tuesday. Mack, who was also recognized as the “NFL Live” Midseason Defensive Rookie of the Year, adds this accolade to an already impressive list of honors he has received for his rookie campaign, including being named to the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie team and NFL.com’s Midseason All-Rookie team.
As we talked about on the last show the latest position filled is that of defensive backs coach. Marcus Robertson becomes the first member of the previous coaching staff to be brought back, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
His return to the team very likely means Charles Woodson will be back as well. The 38-year-old future Hall of Famer was deciding whether to return for his 17th NFL season and had said his return was highly dependent upon whether Robertson was here next season.
After blocking interview requests earlier in the week, the Atlanta Falcons have released offensive line coach Mike Tice from his contract so he can accept the same position with the Oakland Raiders, according to NFL Media.
