How to discover your business potential

March 18, 2016

Do you struggle with strategy or get distracted by tasks and never have enough time? This week we’re talking to The Positive Economist - Susan Hayes Culleton - she’s got a few solutions including the Strategy Wheel for business. Get pen and paper ready for this one.

We also meet the founder of event specialist Glistrr, Matthew Large. A maths whizz with a part-time interest in the club scene, he began his business as a ticketing platform that provided a better solution to his needs to drive ticket sales for venues. As he’s progressed - recently winning the most investible company on the StartplanetNI Accelerator programme - he has refocused to offer a package that provides insight on customers, especially the really key ones that drive sales. The team are now working with venues across the UK, Ireland and the US and have a unique way of helping venues sell tickets by harnessing the power of social media.

We’ve news of an exciting development for a engineering company specialising in wave energy. Pure Marine are down to the final nine companies in a global competition run by the US Department of Energy. Paul Brewster tells us how their product could be the next big thing in that largely untapped global market.

And our startup in the elevator this week is Assure Hedge - with an interesting offer that aims to take the pain out of currency hedging.
