J Brown: A Quiet Yoga Revolution

May 06, 2015

For more than fifteen years, J. Brown has been developing techniques to teach people how to practice yoga in a deeper and more fulfilling way.  He is also a well-known writer appearing in Yoga Therapy Today, the International Journal of Yoga Therapy, Elephant Journal, and Yogadork.  Outspoken and sometimes controversial as a yoga teacher and blogger, J. Brown has sparked broad discussions in the yoga community via his award winning blog.

In 2007, after more than a decade as a popular teacher at various schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn, J. founded Abhyasa Yoga Center  (AYC) in Brooklyn, NY.  AYC was created to provide a home for yoga practice that adapts to individual needs.

Brown writes: “Fast and intense may serve for a time but it is unsustainable and will invariably require some re-evaluation. For in the slowness of our lives is where we are able to perceive its worth. Yoga practice is no different.” Join us today for the slow yoga revolution with J. Brown.
