Traveling Through The Dancing Arches

August 27, 2013

You may have read about it in the paper or seen it while you were out and about, but it’s undeniable that public art is taking Lancaster by storm. On this episode David sits down with Lancaster’s Public Art Manager Tracy Beyl and community member Erica Milner to talk about a new public art instillation at Rodney Park. The instillation by artist Randy Walker is titled “Dancing Arches” and features several steal arches of varying sizes and multiple colors. Seen as an exciting entrance piece to the park Tracy hopes the uniqueness and integration of so much variety in the art will help the diverse community feel a connection to the installation and each other. Listen in to hear more about this artistic endeavor and about how the community is reacting to new art in the neighborhood.
