Magnus Ivarson Interview

July 09, 2014

Magnus was born in the countryside and lived summers in the woods at the beach. He invented things and built a hydrogen generator and tried to store the results in active carbon by self-pressurization. He’s a licensed parachutist and hand glider, and tried twice to be a fighter pilot in the military. He was good at Physics and Math and a teacher told him to focus on Theoretical Physics. When he suggested a solution to explain Quantum Physics with space-time membranes, he was recommended to not pursue it as a degree program. Instead, he built a Wi-Fi cam robot, with paintball and laser tag weapons, along with laser aiming as an Internet gaming system. He was invited to DreamHack in 2005 with the robot and got it tested globally. It has now been tested by about 1500 people worldwide, including those in the US, Australia and China. Since 2005, Magnus has sought funding to build the first Internet game in the world with real robots and real people in the game.
