The Hour Cosmic

Episode 78: The Hulk Follows the Money with Dennis Hopeless

August 03, 2014

Welcome to another installment of The Hour Cosmic, your favorite comics game show! This week, our guest is the writer behind "Avengers Undercover," Dennis Hopeless!

On this week’s show, among other things, we discuss:

- Real talk about cancellation!

- The wheeling and dealing of character trades!

- The buying habits of supervillains!

Let's meet our guest, shall we?

Dennis Hopeless is a writer for Marvel Comics, currently wrapping up "Avengers Undercover" and about to launch "Spider-Woman." Dennis previously wrote "Avengers Arena," "X-Men Season One," "Legion of Monsters," and "Cable and the X-Men" for Marvel, "The Answer" for Dark Horse, and "LoveSTRUCK" and "GearHead" for Image. You can find him on his website, or follow him on Twitter (@HopelessDent).

As always, your hosts are:

Brian Salvatore – New Jerseyan, New York Mets enthusiast, host of “Input/Output,” a music podcast, and occasional blogger/freelance writer. He has never met a dog he didn’t like (even that one that bit his leg when he was 10), and has baked better bread than he ever thought possible.

Chad Bowers – South Carolinian, GI Joe enthusiast, co-writer of “Subatomic Party Girls" “Down Set Fight,” and “Awesome Hospital” with Chris Sims, and writer of “Monster Plus.” He teaches us cool expressions like “Oh, snakes!” and has a lot of opinions about barbeque.

Greg Matiasevich – Marylander, the Eastern seaboard’s most notable proponent of binding comic runs, and co-host of “Robots From Tomorrow,” a fantastic podcast on the Multiversity Podcast Network, co-hosted with our pal Mike Romeo. Greg loves his 80s Marvel and has a talent for always managing to find a Saturday press pass to New York Comic Con.
