Xylene, PCBTF and TBAc are used in a wide variety of products including paints and coatings, inks and adhesives. Xylene can be used in a wide variety of applications, but is toxic and emits Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).  PCBTF and TBAc are widely used substitutes, but cannot be used in many applications because of their poor solvency, dry time profiles and pungent odour.  Any alternative to these solvents has to be effective in a wide variety of applications, less toxic, free of VOCs, and comparable in cost.

Dave states there have been previous attempts to find a 0 VOC alternative to these chemicals, but none has been successful along all these dimensions, at least until now.

Many companies combine Xylene and Acetone to make sure their resins are stronger. With ZemaSol, the same strong results can be achieved without the use of Acetone. This allows businesses to save costs.

Dave states that ZemaSol is also much more effective at decreasing viscosity (by up to 85%) which means less product is required to achieve the same results. And because the product can effectively replace several others, businesses can save space by stocking only ZemaSol.
