This week we had the privilege to speak with Tad Adkins from Adkins Cabling which has been doing business for over 30 years. Tad brought us some incredible insights into the ever changing and evolving technologies of network cabling.

Could you imagine cabling an entire 10 story building with only fiber cable runs? No closets needed on each level? It may be closer than you think.

There is always a tension between new technologies vs older established business. What’s the balance? How quickly should we upgrade to new technologies even if it means making some “industries” obsolete? How do you invest in technologies for you business when you know many of the technologies will soon be obsolete?  What’s more important – saving money or being innovative?
