Social projects like turning shipping containers into classrooms. Kickstarter is one of a number of crowd funding platforms for gathering money from the public, which circumvents traditional avenues of investment.

Today we talked to Lisa Fetterman on the successful launch of their immersion circulator called Nomiku which was built using money raised on Kickstarter. She gives her advice on best practices of using the crowd funding platform.
