Discipled by Jesus in Tanzania
Luke tells us in the beginning of the book of Acts that what Jesus did in his ministry before the cross was only the "beginning" of all that He would do and teach (Acts 1:1). Jesus is still doing ministry and teaching, healing and saving throughout the world. Jesus usually does this through His people, but sometimes, when the willing people aren't around, Jesus ministers to people without any other human agency. Michael Titus was born in Tanzania, into a Muslim family, in a village that had no gospel witness for over one hundred years, and yet, through a dream and a visiting pastor, God revealed Himself to Michael. But when the pastor was discouraged and ceased coming to Michael's village, Michael was left alone. But he was not alone because Jesus was with him and began to disciple him and use him and many powerful ways. Jesus is alive in Tanzania, as He is in all the world. It's my prayer that you will be encouraged by this month's podcast as you hear all about what Jesus is doing today in Tanzania.
It is with good reason that we call this The Gospel (good news) for Planet earth!
