Hey y'all,

The strange, gore fest franchise that is Evil Dead began with a small independent film that grew into a franchise phenomena from a cult following. Now the fifth film in the franchise is out.

For this week's episode, and in their final episode as hosts, Lauren & Paul review Evil Dead Rise. They start with their own pasts with the franchise before delving deeper into the film. They talk about what makes an Evil Dead movie, what this one does with the franchise fodder, and how well it creeped us out.

Lastly, Paul and Lauren are leaving as permanent hosts of the Film Buds as Henry returns. It has been a great time with them on the show, and they can still be found around on Letterboxd and Instagram. And be on the look out for their new venture, coming soon.
