Amir: Hey everybody, welcome to today's show. My name is Amir Mahmoud and I have a very, very special guest on our podcast today. We've got Michael... How do you say your last name? (Laughing)
Michael: Bledsoe
Amir: Bledsoe. I want to welcome him onto the show. I think we've got some really exciting content to talk about. I actually met him out in San Diego last week. We were having some fun and we started chatting. And the next thing you know, I find out that this guy is just a super bad ass! I mean I was literally sitting there and I was like, "Oh, You got the number one podcast!" This got so many other things going on. I don't want to still stand here so I'll let him introduce himself. He's excellent with so many things. I'm just, I'm so excited. Michael, how are you doing? (Laughing)
Michael: Thanks Amir, I appreciate it. Yeah, I run a podcast. We're rated number 1 in fitness and nutrition. So if you were to log-in to iTunes and click the health category, at some point you know, my podcast Barbell Shrugged will show up. It is actually a web show as well. We have a professional videographer that shoots the whole thing, edits it down, and makes it look nice and pretty. Unfortunately he doesn't edit out any of the bad stuff. He just kind of, let it all go, let it all hang out.
Amir: (Laughing)
Michael: I think people appreciate it, you know. And we come out genuine and sincere because of that. And so we have a pretty strong following. I own a CrossFit gym back in Memphis, Tennessee. It kind of grew into the CrossFit market as we we're doing the podcast. CrossFitters and Olympic weightlifters - specifically, that's the two groups of athletes who are really tracked into what we do. That's kind of what I do. As that podcast runs out and we had the whole business revolves around that, by all.

How Michael Started Running A CrossFit Gym

Amir: That's awesome Michael! So, how did you actually get into like owning a CrossFit gym? Did you just wake up one day and say, "Hey, I'm just gonna own that!" or... (Laughing)
Michael: Pretty much, yeah.
Amir: (Laughing)
Michael: I've been training and I've been competing in an Olympic-style weightlifting for awhile. My buddy had introduced me to this thing called CrossFit and I tried it out. And it was a lot of fun. All that I can swear in the podcast.
Amir: That's okay. (Laughing)
