Vision Boards: A Powerful Tool To Program The Subconscious Mind

March 30, 2015

"You have to have a big vision and take very small steps to get there. You have to be humble as you execute but visionary and gigantic in terms of your aspiration... it's not about grand innovation, it's about a lot of little innovations: every day, every week, every month, making something a little bit better."

Will: We’re going to talk about the power of Vision Boards. The other day I was in a private coaching call with three of our private students who are part of our elite mastermind coaching group and we were talking about mindset tools that help you get your head in the game. Because the reality is that success is 80% mindset and it is 20% skill set. If you already have any skill set and you’re not getting results, the reality is you don’t need more tools. You need to get your mindset right.
Part of the problem is that in order to re-program the subconscious mind, you have actually got to access it. And there is a filter that protects the subconscious mind. That filter rejects anything that is not already familiar to the subconscious mind. In order to re-program the subconscious mind, you’ve got to be able to get through the filter, which is almost impossible to do if you don’t have any idea how the mind works.
We are going to talk about one tool in particular that’s designed to help you to get new messages through the filter and access the subconscious mind to start introducing new programs and self image. This is a tool that I’ve used on and off for years.  For the last 90 days or so I have been absolutely zeroed in and focused in on using this tool and have had amazing results.   I want to make sure I share this idea with you because it has had such a major impact on my results.

Vision Boards 101

Will: Let’s go and dive into Vision Boards 101. What you do is you go out and you get some masking tape or some tape that you might use for painting, a blue or green roll. With the tape, you mark out an area on your wall that is somewhere between 1 ft. x 1 ft. and 3 ft. x 3 ft. You don’t want to make the vision board too big.  If it gets too big, it’s too hard to see it all at once. You want to be able to see everything out at your preferred vision.
You make this square or rectangle and then you only want to put a few images on it. You put it up and then you are going to put words or images that represent what it is that you want then 3 minutes in the morning and 3 minutes at night, you zero in, you focus and you look at your vision board and the images there are a trigger for you to use your imagination.
Once you’re actually looking at the image, your zeroing it on and your imagining yourself being, doing or having that thing. You try to create a full representation in the mind meaning you use what you see, what you hear, what you f
