In honor of our celebration of Christ’s nativity this week, Bud reads a Christmas sermon from the Prince of Preachers, Charles Haddon Spurgeon.   Entitled “Going Home – A Christmas Story,” Spurgeon drew from Mark 5:19 the words of Christ: “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.”  The healing of the Legion-possessed demoniac and the Lord’s response to his gratefulness in desiring to remain with Jesus serves as the springboard from which Spurgeon exhorts believers to use the occasion of Christmas as an opportunity for evangelism.
