BFM 017: How to develop software without knowing any coding

November 03, 2014

Gone are the days where you must be a computer programmer in order to know how to develop software.
No longer do you have to pay a company hundreds of thousands of dollars to turn your idea into a software.

Why is this the case?

Well, I am a strong believer that everything is driven by supply and demand.

The less the supply and the more people want it the higher the price.

The more the supply and the less people want it, the lower the price.

Lets translate this into software development.

Right now we have an over supply of  programmers from India, Philippines , China, Russia, Sri-Lanka and many other parts of the world.

You also have to take into consideration that the wages in the above mentioned countries is a lot lower than the western countries. A combination of an over supply plus currency exchange makes it easy for anyone wanting to develop software. It also makes it cheaper to have international employees as well.

So when should you do this?

Well if you have an idea on a software now is a great time.

So you now know how to develop software without studying years of uni.

Sounds great?

How do you start your search for a software developer?

There are some great sites where you can go right now and post your job.
How to develop software with Elance

How to develop software with Odesk
https://www.odesk.com/

How to develop software using fiverr:
If it's just a simple job that you need done, fiverr is great for that. If the job gets a little complicated you can always pay multiple transactions of $5 and get a job done.

Many times you can find someone that is really good and you can re-use them

https://www.fiverr.com/

The great benefit of using people from the above services is that they work with rating system which means if someone hasn't delivered as expected they will get a bad review. And if someone has done a great job they will get a good review.

In this podcast I interview Internet Marketing genius Emily Graham. Emily shares with you ways in which you can get started with creating an app or getting a team behind you to build your software.

One of the questions I ask Emily is, how do you communicate with people from a non English speaking background and one of the tools that she mentions which is pretty awesome, is Just In Mind. Click here to go to the site http://www.justinmind.com/.

This computer application allows you to design the Mobile App you would like and make everything clickable. So if you were to click on a tab, and you want it to take you to another location, you can actually tell it to do that.

It's just another tool to help you to know how to develop software.

It's crazy, below are some screen shots to illustrate my point:
