The leaderboard has been finalized and the invites have gone out to the top 20 men and women who competed in the Dubai CrossFit Championship’s online qualifier. After three weeks and five scored workouts, Fabian Beneito Selles (ESP) and Claudia Gluck (FRA) finished first overall in the men’s and women’s division, respectively.

Selles, Gluck and the rest of the top 20 will be invited to compete in Dubai for the three-day in-person competition on December 2-4 where the top prize will be $50,000.

But unlike other competition qualifiers, all top 20 athletes will receive prize money based on their place in the online qualifier. Selles and Gluck will each receive $5,000. Second place will get $3,000; Third will receive $2,000; 4th gets $1,000 and 5th-20th place will each take home $500.

The 2022 Dubai CrossFit Championship will have a very international feel. The 40 athletes heading to Dubai will come from 20 countries around the world. Spain will send the most athletes, 5, followed by Canada, Sweden and Norway with four each. Only one athlete from the United States, Dana Paran, will compete in Dubai.

The prize purse of the Dubai CrossFit Championship finals will total $333,000 this year. All athletes competing are guaranteed $500. There is $249,000 up for grabs based on the final standings and another $84,000 for top 3 event finishes.
