How do you know when to take a mentor's advice? We all have mentors.  You may be a student, and your professors guide your path.  You may be a working professional, and you have mentors whom you look up to.  You may also admire and respect your colleagues.

One thing is certain.  They will all have plenty of advice for you regarding your career and how you should navigate it.  How do you know when to listen to this advice?  How do you know when it's rubbish?
