UBC Grad Students and Teachers – Resilient Education

March 20, 2024

At the Life Skills Academy, we’re committed to bringing you a range of perspectives on the most important education topics, from theorists and administrators, professional academics, teachers and students. Too often the voices of those most impacted by systemic policies, structures and methods aren’t heard. It is only by seeing concepts like Resilience through multiple lenses that we can build informed opinions, and guarantee inclusivity in our approaches.

With that in mind, in this episode we bring you the voices of three experienced educators working in the primary and post-secondary domains, but also working as full-time graduate students in the field of Education. Ravina, James and Timmy are compassionate, informed and creative educators whose genuine empathy for their students and investment in their vocation comes through clearly in everything they say. Their diverse perspectives provide valuable insights into how we can encourage Resilience and Wellness in ourselves and the students in our care, and how the two can often be one and the same.
