That's So Maven!

That's So Maven!

Episode 81: Louise Casemore

January 23, 2018

This week, we're back in Calgary for the last conversation I had during my visit to Calgary in December. Louise Casemore is a long-time friend and generally amazing and inspiring human who recently moved from Edmonton to Calgary to become an Artistic Associate at Ghost River Theatre. We talked about life in the arts, work-life balance (if there is such a thing) and self-care, and feminism. Listen to our chat here: You can also tune in and subscribe on iTunes and Google Play!  All photography by Andrea Beça. That's So Maven! is a proud member of the Alberta Podcast Network, powered by ATB Financial. The network is growing as we speak, so make sure you check out all of the local podcasts who are a part of it! This week's episode is brought to you in part by Alberta Women Entrepreneurs' Learning Day on February 20! This one-day conference features keynotes and workshops about human resources, operations, financing, marketing, technology, and mindset. You’ll get tangible skills, information, and access to expert resources to help build your business. Plus, it’s a great way to meet other entrepreneurs so you feel less alone in your journey. It’s only $99 until January 19 and That's So Maven! listeners can get 10% if you use the promo code “Podcast” at checkout. Register In case you missed the news, That's So Maven! is now live on Patreon.  If you're not sure what Patreon is, click the image above and check it out. It's an amazing way to support creators, and it functions a lot like a monthly subscription - in this case, to the podcast.  Many think That's So Maven! is my job, but that's not the case! Like everyone on the show, I am an entrepreneur, and I donate all the time required to create That's So Maven! every week - between 15-18 hours per week, with a total of over 1,100 hours donated so far.  Please check out the Patreon page to learn more, and to become a patron of the show. If you can't support the show financially, you can still help in a huge way by sharing the Patreon campaign on all your social media! I would be oh so grateful! Thank you so much for tuning in! I am hoping to return to Calgary very soon to interview many more of the amazing femmes who live and own businesses there! If you know someone who would make a great guest on the show from Calgary (or anywhere else, really), get in touch and let me know so that I can add them to my ever-growing database! Next week, we're back in Edmonton to meet Lynsae Moon, who co-owns The Nook Cafe with her mom, and who has so much wisdom to share about food and accessibility and so much more. See you next week!
