PillPack CEO TJ Parker [Tech In Boston #48]

July 15, 2015

TJ Parker isn’t your typical entrepreneur in Boston. He’s a second-generation pharmacist and started working at his Dad’s pharmacy up in New Hampshire at the age of 16, and it was there that he noticed how much of a pain it was for people that had to manage multiple prescriptions, and figure out which pills to take on which days. And that’s a huge problem for a lot of people - 20% of Americans take more than 5 prescriptions every day.

PillPack has only been less than two years, but they’re already having a huge impact on how America takes their medicine — they’ve shipped over a million dose packs, serving 47 states, and they just banked $50M — 30 of which is from CRV, making it one of their biggest investments to date, and the crew at Founder Collective provided 60% of PillPack's initial funding back in 2013.
