Perfiles de America was with Miguel “Oso†Ramirez, learning about their story of success from a dream to the Grammy, with a lot of hard hard work and passion.  Winners of this year’s GRAMMY award for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album, LA SANTA CECILIA have long made a distinctive multicultural version of “Strawberry Fields Forever†a staple of their acclaimed live set.  As a band comprised of immigrant dreamers and the second generation children of immigrants, that has become nationally recognized ambassadors of Los Angeles’ young generation of bilingual Latinos, the unique fusion style of “Strawberry Fields Forever†has encapsulated the band’s dual influences of classic American Pop and Rock music with the equally essential regional Mexican musical elements of their heritage.  Of course, La Santa Cecilia also strongly identifies with John Lennon’s own immigration/deportation fight.
