Geese must fly south for the winter. They have what’s called an internal clock or instinct to do so, every year at the same time, going towards the same place.
 
You’re not a goose, you don’t have to fly south for the winter.
 
If you could talk to the goose, and say “Hey goose I have some insider information, it’s the worst idea to fly south this year for the winter.” The goose is going to look at you, look to the south, look at you, look to the south and fly away. And get destroyed in whatever you were warning him of.
 
But God gave us the gift as human beings of free will.
 
If we are going south and hear there’s a F4 tornado whipping through, you can turn around and plan another vacation. But the thing to get from that is that you can turn around. See Jim Rohn said “It’s not the direction of the wind it’s the set of the sails.”
 
Style nation we are trees. But that’s a good thing and a bad thing. See how tall does a tree grow? The answer is as tall as it possibly can. Roots as far down as possible and produces as much as it can.
 
Even us, we don’t grow half as tall! Our limbs grow if they can as much as they can, that’s the genetic code. But what God gave us that WE decide is Free Will. That sometimes is the bad, but it’s because of us.
 
It’s hard for a lot of us to reach our full potential. As long as you’re doing your best it doesn’t matter that you only made 15 thousand this year on your clothing line. Did you give your best is the question?
 
There are so many that could be going great things but are sitting on it because of free will, but on the other hand there are so many that are doing the opposite for the same reason. I just recently read Charlemagne the Gods new book Black Privilege you have to read it if you haven’t already, the book really shows that we all have privilege you just have to create it. Another perfect example, Kevin Durant had to set his sails to a different direction this past season. He played to the absolute maximum capacity and was rewarded with the MVP of the 2017 NBA Finals yesterday. The fans called him a traitor, weak, and a cry baby for switching teams. But if he listened to fans and naysayers he wouldn’t have been celebrating his first NBA Championship yesterday. Just know Kevin didn’t let the direction of the wind, even though it was 9 years, stop him from reaching his goal and neither should you.
 
Don’t fall victim to free will, be the success story, success being whatever you’ve imagined for your life to be and not what someone else has planned it to be.
 
Strive for maximum potential, I’m sure you will surprise yourself!
