'Switched On' Ep:23 Featuring Paula Thomas
On the show this week I'm having a discussion with Paula Thomas, a distinguished Apple educator and long time teacher from Brisbane Queensland. I met Paula on a recent business trip to Brisbane and she and her husband Thommo were my Airbnb hosts. After almost a week at their home I realized the incredible depth of knowledge and resources Paula has when it comes to technology and education. After a delicious dinner I realised I just had to have her on my show and I’m so glad I did.

About Paula Thomas
Paula is an innovative, creative and passionate educator who has worked in the K-12 sector as an eLearning Specialist and classroom practitioner specializing in ICTs and effective pedagogies and in the tertiary sector as a guest lecturer in Digital Technologies for pre-service teachers. 
She has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator and is part of a global community of education leaders doing amazing things with Apple technology in and out of the classroom. She assists teachers and students to harness the power of social and digital media to make global connections and partners in learning.
Her philosophy of the new role of an educator in the 21st Century is to provide challenging opportunities that enable agile learners to ‘learn how to learn’.  Agile learners utilise high levels of creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking skills to solve global problems and become responsible digital citizens in a knowledge society.
